Gray Page supporting Seafarers Awareness Week
Highlighting the importance of crew welfare and safety with its new DFENCE system, Gray Page is delighted to be supporting this year’s Seafarers Awareness Week (24-30th June).
Now in its seventh year, the campaign is busier than ever with over 30 maritime events taking place during the month of June, offering a platform for events and activities around the UK. It combines a host of local media opportunities, with industry and individuals working together to improve the profile of seafaring, ports and all kinds of maritime jobs, see www.seafarersweek.uk.
Following two years of research and development, Gray Page recently unveiled its new vessel perimeter protection system, DFENCE, designed to both prevent unlawful over-the-side access to ships, oil rigs and other marine platforms, and to protect our valued global seafarers from harm.
Supporting the week, James Wilkes, Managing Director, Gray Page, said: “Our work is all about keeping the industry and its seafarers safe and secure. Our new system, DFENCE has crew welfare at its very heart, both protecting them from piracy, but also keeping them safe in day to day operations. Seafarers working in high risk areas need to feel that owners and operators look at the bigger picture and provide them with not only a comprehensive ship hardening solution, but one that is completely safe to handle. Seafarers Awareness Week is a great campaign for the maritime industry and Gray Page is proud to be an official supporter.”
