If there is such a thing as a shipping polymath, John is one. He is a Master Mariner and former tanker captain, and during a 43-year career has held a wide range of technical, commercial and senior management positions ashore.

Being our Senior Nautical Adviser, John is involved group-wide in investigative consulting case-work and asset protection projects. His extensive knowledge – not just of shipping and marine matters – makes him fascinating to work with, and his expertise invaluable to colleagues and clients alike.

John has recently let it slip in conversation that he is a member of Mensa and while he is yet to have a crack at BBC Two’s Mastermind he does rather well in the village quiz night, apparently.
